It should have been a simple task. Find an intriguing orb and return it to the Banette that lost it. Unfortunately, most of the day had already passed and Dawn was no closer to finding the blasted thing than when she started. She’d searched everywhere she could thing of. Well, it was another lost Pokemon, but this time they weren’t in the Swamplands. They were in the Orchard, which was much more favorable! Dawn was in good spirits as she walked between the trees, searching her surroundings for any sign of movement or any color that didn’t seem like it belonged in the area. It was a Flaaffy she was looking for, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find them, right? It was hard to resist the temptation to pick berries while she was here, though. The smells coming off the trees were absolutely captivating, and she found herself drooling at the sight of so many in one place. It didn’t help

Poor Quen. It seemed like he was always losing his possessions somewhere. You’d think by now he’d learn to just keep everything secure in a bag or something. Maybe he has too much to fit in a bag? But a tent storage, at least, would be helpful. If that wasn’t enough room for him, then maybe this island wasn’t the best fit for him? Not that she was mean enough to say such a thing to his face unprovoked. At least he was smart enough to ask for help instead of trying to find his lost possessions all by himself. It felt like she’d just gotten the bulk of the swamp ick out of her fur, but already she was returning, this time to search for a Mawile. Why were all these Pokemon going to the swamp, again? What was in here that was so valuable? Or do they just like it? She never would, and she couldn’t see why a Mawile would either. Only a grass or water type…maybe bug and poison, too. Maybe even dark. But this? This made no sense. Dawn had to bite back her grumbling as she trekked through the Swampland, each step caking her legs and paws in even more mud that would have to be cleaned off at the end of the day. Couldn’t th

The Swamplands…why did it have to be the Swamplands? Dawn snarled at the wetness that caked her paws and legs as she moved through the too-wet land, searching for the lost Spewpa. Once she found it, it had better be grateful for what she was going through. She knew she was an explorer and it was expected that she’d end up in all manner of lands, but right now, she would rather be literally anywhere else. She could have taken another posting. Maybe she should have. She’d intended to, but the thought of the little bug type all lost and alone in such a miserable area ate at her, and she felt too guilty to simply leave it.

Today’s posting was…confusing, to say the least. Why would a Liepard even need a grass gem? Was it some sort of family heirloom, or a gift for a friend? Did they have a purpose that she wasn’t aware of? A dark gem would surely be more suitable. Dawn’s job was to find the thing and not to judge or ponder, though, so she’d still taken on the task and searched around the camp. She didn’t think it’d be in any of the tents except maybe the Liepard’s, but maybe it had been dropped on their way to the Orchard or Plains or wherever? That was her guess, anyway. Today’s posting was a simple one – a search for a Heart Scale that belonged to a Gourgeist. At least, she hoped it would be simple. Questioning the Gourgeist had informed her that the scale was likely to be either in camp or somewhere in the orchard. That…was still quite an area to search, but at least she didn’t have to comb the entire island in search of it. Dawn had gotten started on her search in the early morning, before the sun rose. There seemed to be an endless number of postings these days. Part of her didn’t mind – she definitely didn’t want to spent her time in camp all day every day – but she did worry about so many Pokemon nearby having problems. It would be okay, she told herself. This really shouldn’t be scary to her, but – somehow – it was. This was going to be a difficult task. Storm knew that before she’d even signed up. Changing Accounts Again

Maybe.  I don't really know right now. I just don't like this one anymore. Should I really even be here?  My hands have been so unsteady that I haven't felt comfortable showing anything I draw to anyone but Zab in years.  I do still write, but dA isn't really about writing that much, is it? I guess I'll just keep thinking about it.

And inspired to draw like crazy for the first time in years.  I've come to the conclusion that I just can't get proportions right when doing purely digital work and all my art supplies are back at the farm.  Awesome. Got rid of my old posting tables.  They just look really awful to me.  Huntress is staying up for now.  She'll get some "companions" later.
